Hello, I am Amanda Sutt. I am business coach, entrepreneur, business owner, wife, mom, designer of spaces, outdoor enthusiastic, believer in the power of community, and lover of laughter.
I was tired of doing everything the hard way. Instead of continuing to live in the doom spiral of trying to make ends meet, I went in search of others who had this same problem and figured out a solution.
EMyth was the first book I found that gave me hope. I devoured it and started to work through these ideas on my own. I had signed up for a few downloads and thought nothing of it.
A few years later, EMyth Business Coaching called me and asked if I still needed support, and I emphatically said “Yes!” Our business, Rock Paper Scissors, had made it through the 2008 recession, but we were struggling and burned out. We started a 12-month coaching program in early 2012. As we were wrapping the program, I signed a contract to start training to be an EMyth Business Coach myself, and then my mom (and business partner) was diagnosed with stage-4 cancer. She immediately had to step down from her roll to have surgery and treatment. I had to step into her role as well as starting my coaching training. Because of the year of coaching, this transition was NOT all-consuming and we were able to enjoy and celebrate with my mom during her last year.
I served with the EMyth team for eight years before stepping out on my own. I truly value all of the support and content from the EMyth team, but knew that as my clients and my own business were hitting their business goals with the EMyth content, that they needed deeper sources to get to the next level. Preparing for this transition, I started once again to study and test new curriculum on my business and then shared with my clients.
Unlike many other business coaches, I have my own business and will continue to run it because I see the value in experiencing what I recommend to my clients. This allows me to collaborate with my clients on a deeper level to build standards and systems together to create the life and business of our dreams.
